Soundscope plus is a combination of hearing protection and active amplifier. The individual adjustment with a shell made completely after your ear gives a passive muting on a level with ear-muffs. The active amplifier gives you a possibility to hear the faint sounds, as conversation from your hunting party and sounds from your surrounding. The digital amplifier converts the analogue sound picked up by the microphone, to a digital signal processed to give you an optimal hearing experience.

It guarantees that the sounds not are enhanced more than 20dB (an enhancement with 3dB is experienced as a doubling of the sound level) and that the maximum out level from the built-in receiver not exceeds 97dB. At really high sound levels, as gun crack it is the passive muting that ensures that the sound level at the eardrum is muted, at test Soundscope Plus have delivered equal results as traditional active ear-muffs. The placing of the microphone (helix microphone) so not only give a perfect directional effect but do also minimise the problem of wind sounds.

In order for you to be able to adjust your Soundscope Plus to a suitable sound level for you, each unit is supplied with a volume control. The volume control also acts as a power switch. Soundscope Plus is also equipped with a so called inductive loop to be used together with a “neck loop” in order to listen via a communication radio. The neck loop is connected to the receiver output on the hunting radio and transmits the signal wirelessly inductive to the inductive loop on Soundscope. Soundscope Plus comes in 2 different varieties, Soundscope Plus 20 and Plus 30. The difference between these are that Plus 30 is developed to be used by hearing-impaired persons and where there is a need for higher amplification. Soundscope Plus 30 has 3 programs. Program 1 is used when you want a straight amplification over all frequencies and program 2 delivers a lower amplification of the low frequencies (the base). Soundscope Plus 30 is provided with a digital circuit with a built-in function that also can separate noise from speech. At a certain level of the proportion between noise and speech the circuit lowers the amplification in the sound channel where the noise is.
